High-Value Transfers

Mastering robust financial transactions.

While UPI has made small payments effortless, large corporate payments, real estate purchases, and life savings transfers require the robust infrastructure of NEFT and RTGS. A single mistake here can lock your funds for days.

Step-By-Step Execution

1
Add Beneficiary

Registering the Payee

Before transferring large sums, you must securely add the receiver's details. You will need their exact Account Number, Full Name, and the 11-character IFSC Code of their branch. Authentication requires an OTP.

2
Cooling Period

The RBI Safety Lock

To protect against unauthorized access, banks enforce a cooling-off period (30 mins to 4 hours). During this time, transfers to the new beneficiary are strictly capped (usually at ₹50,000).

3
Execute Transfer

Pushing the Funds

Once the cooling period expires, select the beneficiary, enter the amount, and choose your protocol (NEFT for standard, RTGS for ₹2 Lakh+). Submit via transaction password or final OTP.

Advanced Security

Zero Public Wi-Fi Policy

Never log into net banking or execute a transfer while connected to free airport, cafe, or hotel Wi-Fi networks. These public endpoints are prime targets for packet-sniffing and session hijacking attacks.

Always cross-verify the IFSC using our active directory before submission to prevent multi-day fund locks.

Frequently Asked

Can I transfer without adding a beneficiary?

Most banks offer a "Quick Transfer" option for up to ₹50,000 instantly without adding a beneficiary. However, for larger amounts via NEFT/RTGS, registration is legally mandatory.

How long does NEFT take?

NEFT is processed in half-hourly batches by the RBI. Under normal circumstances, the beneficiary will receive the funds within 30 minutes to 2 hours.

What if I type the wrong account number?

If the account number doesn't exist in that specific branch, the transaction fails and auto-refunds within 1-3 working days. If it belongs to someone else, you must immediately contact your home branch.

Validate Before You Transfer

A wrong IFSC will bounce your transfer. Double-check the exact branch code using our live database.
